Buoy Beer Celebrates with Pride IPA
Buoy Beer from Astoria has made their first ever Pride IPA. While this beer is not a hazy -- it's a West Coast IPA -- we do love Pride and so we had to feature this beer on our blog.
Buoy's website lists the beer at 6% ABV and 60 IBU, with an aroma of "tropical fruits and grapefruit followed by some lemon & pine" and the taste has a "gentle sweetness and moderately bitter" flavors. Hops used include Citra, Azacca, and Centennial.
Sounds like the perfect beer to celebrate Pride! Proceeds from the sale of the beer will go to local Oregon Coast LGBTQIA+ organizations. The beer will be sold at the brewery, which is now set up at the Astoria Food Lab, as well as various merchants in Oregon and Seattle. Buoy is also selling a limited edition Pride t-shirt which we have not seen yet, but on our next trip to Astoria, we will be definitely picking up one.
